■Hinata's POV■

Another batch of people in black walk into this room. They walk closer to me and I greet them.

Hinata: thank you for coming...

They soon greet Y/N who's next to me, saying their condolences though they knew Y/N might not listening or even be aware of our surroundings.

Y/N just stand still not muttering a word since this morning. My family and Honda san's family help to hold Ieri san's funeral.

After it's done, my parents dropped me and Y/N at her house. Mom worriedly staring at Y/N.

Hinata's mom: honey... please don't forget to take care of yourself okay...

Y/N bows her head and gives mom a weak smile.

Y/N: mom... dad, Natsu... thank you for helping out today...

Natsu: Y/N nee... if it's too lon-... if you are bored at home, just come to Miyagi okay!?

Y/N's smiles at my family who's about to go back to Miyagi. Mom whispers to me.

Hinata's mom: look after her Shoyo...

Hinata: yes...

After my family left for Miyagi, Y/N and I walk in. I told Y/N to sit on the sofa while I go to the kitchen to grab a glass of water for her.

When I'm back to the living room, Y/N is crouching down next to the drawer. I put the glass and walk her way right away. When I'm close enough, I can see that she's hugging a photo of her with her parents.

Y/N: mom... (sobs) don't... don't leave me alone... why... did you leave too? (Sobs)

My heart aches as I see her like this. I crouch down next to her and pull her into my arms, wrapping my arms around her.

Y/N: I... don't want to be alone (sobs)

I bring a hand to her head and stroke it gently, Y/N is burying her face at the crook of my neck by now.

Hinata: you will never be alone... I promise... I would never let you be alone...

I can feel her hand clutches the front of my shirt.

Y/N: Shoyo... (sobs) Shoyo.... I.... mom... (sobs)...

My eyes are getting warm, remembering Ieri san.

Hinata: I'm here... I'm with you...

I...

Will never let you feel lonely...

I promised Ieri san...

■3rd Person POV■

7 months have passed since Ieri's death.  Shoyo starts living at Y/N's place after her mother's death, he doesn't want Y/N to be alone or feel lonely that's why he moved in with her.

When he has something to do and couldn't make it home, he told Natsu to stay the night. He sometimes takes Y/N to Miyagi as well, spending the day with his family.

And gradually, because of all of the attention and kindness that she gets, Y/N started to open up again and came back to how she used to.

Right now, Hinata takes her on a trip to the beach. He wants Y/N to have fun, and Honda san and his wife happily look after the store so Y/N could go on this trip.

Y/N: um Shoyo, should I help you with one of those bags? I can carry my own...

Hinata looks at Y/N and smiles at her. He's carrying his bag and Y/N's.

Hinata: nope, I can handle it... but, you can hold onto something...

Hinata hangs one of the bags on his shoulder, emptying one of his hands, and takes Y/N's hand in his.

Hinata: hold my hand so I can be energized..

Hinata playfully smiles at Y/N and the girl smiles warmly at his sweet boyfriend. Y/N holds Hinata's hand and the two continue walking to their lodge.

After putting their stuff, Hinata and Y/N got changed and walk on the beach. The dry air and a slight sea breeze hit their skin.

Hinata: wana get into the water?

Hinata asks Y/N, doesn't want her to do something she doesn't want. Y/N nods her head and Hinata is happy.

The two enjoy playing in the water, splashing each other, or just swim around together.

All these months, Y/N is grateful to have Hinata with her. She could see how much Hinata tried to bring back the smile to her face. How he always being around her through a hard time.

She's also grateful for his family who did their best to cheer her up and make her feel that still has a family.

Her standing here on this beach and not weeping on her house was all thanks to Hinata's effort in the past 7 months.

Y/N walks closer and hugs Hinata, startling the volleyball player. He's worried that she might be sad or hurt.

Hinata: what is it? Are you okay? Wanna get out of the water?

Y/N looks up at Hinata, seeing his worried face. Y/N shooks her head no and smiles.

Y/N: no... everything is fine... I'm having fun Shoyo...

Hinata's glad to hear that and the two continue having fun.

■Y/N's POV■

We are now sitting on the beach in front of our lodge. The sky has turned red and the sun looks like it was almost drowned in the sea. But

I look at Shoyo who's sitting next to me, he looks at me and tilts his head.

My sun is still bright... right next to me...

Y/N: Shoyo...

Hinata: hmm? What is it? Do you want anything?

I shook my head no, he keeps on wanting to give me things.

Y/N: thank you... for being around... for sticking with me... and... for making me feels like I still have a family by taking me to your family's place frequently...

His eyes widened as I talk to him, but this is how I feel and I want Shoyo to know how grateful I am.

Y/N: I'm... really happy to have you... though I almost fell into the darkness... Shoyo keeps on light me up... I...

I can feel my eyes warmed, feeling how I'm loved by him and his family.

Y/N: I love you Shoyo...

Suddenly I was being pulled to Shoyo's strong chest. His arms securing me and I can feel him nuzzling my hair as we both sit on the sand.

Hinata: I'm glad if you're happy... and I won't stop trying to make you happy... and moreover...

Shoyo pulls back and stands up, he told me to wait as he runs inside our lodge and came back minutes later. He sits in front of me again and stares into my eyes.

Hinata: the part when you say, you feel like you still have a family... I want that to be a reality...

Shoyo shows me a small box and flicks the lid open, showing a beautiful silver band. My heart skips a beat as I then avert my gaze to Shoyo's face.

Y/N: Shoyo?

Hinata: Y/N... I... want to take you into the Hinata family... I want us to be a family...

Shoyo's eyes are gentle but they piercing my soul with how he stares at me. The sky is red and so does Shoyo's face.

Hinata: Y/N... let's get married... I... want to have you as my wife... do you, want to?

I can feel a bead of warm tear rolls down my cheek and I can't help myself from lunging myself at Shoyo.

How could you ask whether I want to or not?

Hinata: Y/N?

Y/N: yes...

Of course, the answer is yes...

I look up at him and his eyes are wide open. I smile at the man that I love so much and state my answer once again.

Y/N: yes... I... want you to have me as your wife, Shoyo...

It seems like a surge of feeling hits him and he looks so happy and excited. Shoyo takes the ring out and outs it on my finger. He kisses my finger then leans in to kiss my lips.

When he pulls back I can't help but notice how the beauty of the sunset was beaten by Shoyo's beauty.

Hinata: thank you for accepting me... I... can't wait to see you in your Wed dress... and can't wait to hear how people call you Hinata Y/N...

You are the one who lits my life...

And I...

Would be happy to stay forever by your side...
